My Leg is Rotting Off

Why can’t I get COVID-19 like a normal person?

Hey remember when I said I had a terrible migraine? Yeah turns out that I was actually fighting a terrible infection caused by toxic reaction to a bug bite of some sort and now I have necrosis in my leg and I’m on a ton of antibiotics. RIP my gut biome. I feel terrible still but I guess I’ll live. The nice medical professional at urgent care wrapped my leg up so I look like I’m doing Civil War cosplay. Feel free to hum “Ashokan Farewell” as you read this.

It’s Official: You Can Wash Your Phone

COVID-19 has caused Apple to admit that actually you can use regular Clorox wipes on your phone and you don’t need special cleaners.

Trickle Down COVID-19 Effects

Also a lot of colleges are closing and going into online education mode to help stop the spread. It’s…not as easy as you may think.

The same thing goes for conferences that are going online! I saw a tweet earlier that reminded people that they will need to hire community managers. You will.

In lighter news, my friend Pete is hilarious.

BUT! It is something to consider…what kind of art and science will come from a large population being housebound for weeks? Isn’t Frankenstein the result of “the year without a summer” and so Mary Shelly and her drugged out friends had nothing better to do than stay inside and write?

I’m So Old

On one hand, it’s great that the internet allows you to communicate with people of all ages and demographics that you might not otherwise talk to but on the other hand Jesus Christ. (From Reddit)

Okay, short one today because I feel terrible. I mainly wanted to get the part about washing your phones out there because there’s been a lot of confusion about that.
